Author: Biswadeep Chakraborty

Abstract:

This paper focuses on study of the popular representations of history of the First World War in video games. Despite a growing body of literature on the history of video games, scholars largely neglect the representations of history in the games. This paper traces the inherent historicity in the creation of World War I video games, as well as trying to reach an understanding of how popular medias like video games could persuade and shape the popular imagination in the public 'memory'.
